Ch’ng Poh Tiong visits Bordeaux four to five times every year. He has pulled out six wines from his personal collection specially for this masterclass. Compare two wines each from the same vintage for a thorough understanding of their differing personality, including Chateau Pétrus 1996.
About the Author
CH’NG Poh Tiong, or ZHUANG Bu Zhong as he is known in China, is a lawyer by training. His first glass of wine, more than 40 years ago, was paired with Chinese food. Ch’ng is a senior judge for The World of Fine Wines’ ‘Best Wine Lists in the World’ competition and is the regional chair and vice-chair for the Decanter World Wine Awards and Decanter Asian Wine Awards respectively. He also contributes to Hugh Johnson’s Pocket Wine Book.
Ch’ng is author of 108 Great Chinese Dishes Paired (2010), My Friendship with Singapore’s Greatest Painter (2015), and 50 Bordeaux 50 Chefs (2017).
The Top Chinese Restaurants of the World 2018 book will be available for collection November 2018 at the earliest. It is currently only available on pre-sales basis and customers who have purchased the book will be contacted directly for collection when it is ready.
